Day 1

Embark in ASWAN

Arrive on your 5-star deluxe Nile cruise boat, where you will be welcomed by the reception staff.

Lunch will be served on board. Afternoon tea will be served in the lounge.

This afternoon, visit to the Granite Quarries, which supplied the ancient Egyptians with most of the hard stone used in pyramids and temples, and still hold a huge unfinished obelisk.

In the evening, you will be greeted by your Boat Manager for a cocktail reception, who will review your cruise program for the upcoming days.

Enjoy local Egyptian wine and beer, as well as a selection of canapés, followed by a gourmet dinner.

After dinner, guests can enjoy a Folkloric Show and a Dervish Show.

Day 2

PHILAE TEMPLE

A breakfast buffet will be served on board, followed by a short motorboat ride to visit the romantic and majestic Philae Temple on the Island of Agilika.

Enjoy lunch, while you cruise to Kom Ombo. Spend the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the facilities on board, including the pool, games room and gymnasium. Afternoon tea will be served while you cruise to Edfu.

Enjoy an Egyptian buffet menu for tonight’s dinner with the chance for guests to dress up in traditional Egyptian “galabeyya”.

Day 3

The Valley of the kings and queens

Breakfast buffet will be served on board whilst sailing to Luxor.

Enjoy the morning at leisure before sampling a delicious lunch.

Take time to enjoy the facilities on board, including the pool, games room and gymnasium.

Enjoy your afternoon tea in the lounge.

Tonight’s dinner will be a gala dinner, with white-gloved waiters serving gourmet cuisine.

Day 4

EAST BANK, WEST BANK AND VALLEY OF THE KINGS

After breakfast on board, your Egyptologist will guide you around the East Bank of Luxor, including the strikingly graceful Temple of Luxor dedicated to the god Amun.

A delicious lunch will be served on board.

This afternoon visit the West Bank of Luxor and explore the Valley of the Kings. You will have the chance to visit at least one tomb in the Valley of the Queens and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut.

On the way back to the Nile River, you will pass by the famed Colossi of Memnon, known in Ancient Greek times for their haunting voices at dawn.

In the evening, you’ll be greeted by your Boat Manager for a cocktail reception, who will review your cruise program for the upcoming days. Enjoy local Egyptian wine and beer, as well as a selection canapés, followed by a gourmet dinner.

Day 5

TEMPLE OF KARNAK AND TEMPLE OF KHNUM

Breakfast will be served on board followed by a visit to the Temple of Karnak, built over more than a thousand years by generations of Pharaohs. The great “Hypostyle Hall” is an incredible forest of giant pillars, covering an area larger than the whole of Notre Dame Cathedral.

Once back on board, you will sail to Esna.

Following lunch on board, your Egyptologist will guide you around the Greco-Roman Temple of Khnum at Esna. The beautifully preserved Great Hypostyle Hall was built during the reign of the Roman Emperor Claudius; it was excavated from the silt that had accumulated through centuries of annual Nile floods and is about nine meters below present-day street level.

Continue to enjoy your cruise onward to Edfu, while afternoon tea will be served in the lounge.

A gourmet dinner will be served in the restaurant.

Day 6

TEMPLE OF HORUS AND TEMPLE OF KOM OMBO

Breakfast will be served on board.

This morning, explore the extraordinary Temple of Horus.

Return to your Nile Cruise boat for lunch and sail to Kom Ombo. Spend the afternoon, visiting the Temple of Kom Ombo - dedicated to the crocodile-god Sobek. The temple stands at a bend in the Nile where, in ancient times, sacred crocodiles basked in the sun on the riverbank.

Once back on board, you will sail to Aswan. You will also have the chance to take part in an Egyptian cooking lesson.

Tonight’s entertainment will be an “Egyptian Night” costume party for all guests, with a chance to dress up in traditional Egyptian “galabeyyas”. Dinner will be a lavish buffet of Egyptian specialties.

Day 7

ASWAN AND FELUCCA SAILING

A breakfast buffet will be served. Spend the morning at leisure and enjoy the facilities on board, including the pool, games room and gymnasium.

Lunch will be served on board.

After lunch, take a ride on a felucca (a typical Egyptian sail boat) around Elephantine Island, Lord Kitchener’s Botanical Gardens, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum (weather permitting, life jackets will be provided).

Enjoy your afternoon tea in the lounge. Tonight’s dinner will be a gala dinner, with white-gloved waiters serving gourmet cuisine.

After dinner, guests can enjoy a Folkloric Show and a Dervish Show.
