Evidence grew up with a passion for nature. His first employer was Wilderness Safaris and was with them from 2008 to May 2014. During his time at WS, he first joined in as a trainee manager and progressed to the position of camp manager. Apart from working as a camp manager, he was also very heavily involved in Philanthropy as a camp coordinator for a children’s program called Children In The Wilderness. Evidence joined us in June 2014 and we are very happy to have him as lodge manager!
Ackim worked in South Africa before moving to Zambia. He believes the secret to being a great chef is to love food and to be flexible and give a guest what they enjoy. During the years he has been with Sanctuary he has enjoyed learning new menus and new methods of cooking. He loves his job and sees himself as part of the management team in the future.
Alick who has always wanted to be a guide moved from a Grade two to a professional guide during his last five years with Sanctuary Puku Ridge Camp. He believes his success lies in understanding the behaviour of animals, understanding what the guest’s expectations are and always being polite. He enjoys being a walking guide as he can show guests all the small animals and creatures some of which that are seldom seen from a game drive vehicle. His favourite animal is the endemic Thornycroft giraffe - only seen in the South Luangwa.
