Graeme, originally from Edinburgh in Scotland has travelled extensively all over the world including Europe, Asian, Australia and North America. He has climbed both Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru and also travelled extensively in Tanzania visiting the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Tsavo East & West in Kenya. He and Candy managed a beach Lodge near Pangani in Tanzania for over two years before joining the Sanctuary Saadani Safari Lodge team.
Candy is also originally from Edinburgh in Scotland where she and Graeme met. She has also travelled extensively accross Europe, Asia, Australia and North AMerica with Graeme as well as in East Africa including Amboseli, Malindi and Mombassa in Kenya and all over Northern Tanzania and Zanzibar. Candy is a PADI Open water qualified Diver and loves spending time amongst the surrounding wildlife and birds.
Issack A Mnyangabe
Issack is origionally from Arusha in Tanzania where he studied Professional Travel & Tourism Business in Hotels & Wildlife Management. He worked in the Serengeti for two years as a driver guide and has also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro several times. He is fluent in Kiswahili & English and has been a guide in the Saadani National Park since January 2011. Issack is very passionate about Saadani and is always happy to show his guests this beautiful National Park.
Jacob Semu Mbise
Jacob was born in Arusha in Tanzania. He speaks Kiswahili, English, French and Spanish and has climbed Kilimanjaro several times. He was a Professional Tour Guide in Tanzania's Northern Circuit for 5 years before joining the very passionate team at Sanctuary Saadani Safari Lodge.
Guest Relations Manager
Jafari is 26 years old and from Tanga in the northern part of Tanzania. He has been working in hospitality for over 4 years and at Sanctuary Saadani Safari Lodge for 2 ½ years. After starting as a barman & waiter, Jafari gradually worked through different departments until he became Guest Relations Manager. "I love my job and am very proud that I get to represent Tanzania to my guests and show them our true smile, welcome and hospitality to all our visitors from all over the world. Karibuni Tanzania!"
Saidi Salum Said
Saidi is 29 years old and was born in Pangani in the Tanga region. Having studied Hotel Management and Hospitality at college he has worked in many hotels in Zanzibar and on the Tanzanian Coast. He speaks Kiswahili, English, Italian & Arabic and loves to welcome our international guests and delights in serving them a huge range of cocktails - they call him The Mega Mixologist!
Drever is from Pangani, in the Tanga region and has always worked in hospitality on the Tanzanian coast and Zanzibar. He has been at Sanctuary Saadani Safari Lodge for 2 years now and is very happy to welcome you to our restaurant where we always strive to serve fantastic food and drinks. We hope you will love our fresh seafood which we buy direct from the local fishermen. Drever speaks Kiswahili, English and also a little Polish.
Mjaka is from Saadani village and has worked at Sanctuary Saadani Safari Lodge since 2007. He is very proud of his team and strives to make your stay with us extra special. He is keen to learn every aspect of the hospitality industry. He is married to Sarah (who also works at the lodge) and they have one child together.
