Botswana - walking with elephants

At Sanctuary Zebra Plains the diversity of habitats surrounding the camp provides for spectacular wildlife viewing and for your absolute safety an armed game scout will accompany you and your guide. Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp offers the perfect place to start your gorilla trekking adventure. Walking past local villages, banana tree plantations and into the impenetrable forest to reach these endangered animals is a must for any travel bucket list. Stay at Sanctuary Stanley's Camp or Sanctuary Baines' Camp and you can meet with Jabu, Thembi and Morula, a trio of semi-habituated orphaned elephants. Observe and interact with them while leisurely walking in their big, silent footsteps through the wilderness. While in the Galapagos, even the smallest islands are accessible on twice daily shore excursions led by expert naturalist guides for those with the urge to explore the islands on foot.
