Day 01 - Sanctuary Baines' Camp

On arrival at Maun Airport, a Mack Air representative will meet and assist you to your onward flight.
Depart Maun on a shared light aircraft charter flight to Sanctuary Baines’ Camp.  The flying time is approximately 15 minutes. Kindly note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pickups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time. On arrival at the airstrip a Sanctuary Baines’ Camp representative will meet and transfer you to the camp. The transfer time is approximately 45 minutes.

Sanctuary Baines’ Camp is located on the Boro River, set amongst the shady trees and water of the Okavango Delta, on a 260,000 acre private concession neighbouring the Moremi Game Reserve. The camp, named after the famous 19th century explorer Thomas Baines, features five luxurious suites set on elevated platforms in the tree line with wooden decks that offer expansive views over the permanent water of the river and a lagoon teaming with life. Guests returning from their night drive will be surprised with a romantic, star bath waiting on their viewing deck.

Honeymooners will be able to soak up the scenery of the shimmering waters of the Boro river while sipping sparkling wine under the stars. The free standing traditional Botswana styled zinc baths will come complete with hot and cold water taps with environmentally friendly Africology products, while mobile canvas screens will ensure complete privacy (only offered during the summer months). The elevated suites feature a luxury bedroom, en-suite facilities and private viewing deck. The four-poster beds are fully mobile, giving guests the choice to slumber under star laden skies. Each room is equipped with a hairdryer, ceiling fan, in-room safe as well as a personally stocked minibar. Avid astronomers will delight in stargazing from the privacy of their own deck.
The main area features an oversized deck for outdoor dining and views over the permanent water of the lagoon. There is a rim flow swimming pool with two thatched sala’s on either side for refreshing sunbathing and relaxation. The camp offers informative walking safaris with an armed professional guide, wonderful game drives in open-sided 4X4 vehicles as well as motorised boating and mokoro excursions, subject to water levels. Day 02 - Sanctuary Baines' Camp

This morning you will have the opportunity to meet and interact with three semi-habituated elephants - Jabu, Thembi and Marula on a morning walk.  Observe them up close in their natural environment as they feed, take mud baths and swim, whilst learning about them and discovering their unique personalities. This activity includes a picnic lunch. You are invited to discover the elephants from the ends of their bristled tails to the tip of their powerful yet sensitive trunks. Explore the astonishing kinship between the elephants and their guardians. A delicate blink of Marula's long lashes reveals her sensitive yet powerful personality. Jabu, takes you trunk in hand, with his bold and generous nature and together you slowly uncover the age old secrets of Africa's Elephants. Tembi, cute boisterous and impossible to ignore, infatuates you and transforms your understanding of elephants to a deeper and more personal level.

Day 04 - Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero

The morning is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer.  After breakfast a camp representative will transfer you to the airstrip. Depart Sanctuary Baines’ Camp on a Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero Camp.  The flying time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Kindly note, however, that all inter-camp flights are subject to multiple pick ups and drop offs en route to your destination which could affect the flying time. On arrival at Kasane Airport a Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero representative will meet and transfer you to the lodge. The transfer time is approximately 10 minutes.

A luxurious lodge in the heart of the African bush, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is the ideal place to visit. This is the perfect spot to relax while enjoying the gourmet food that the lodge has become known for, lounging in the split-level swimming pool or unwinding with a pampering session in the only full service spa on the Botswana safari circuit. Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero borders Chobe National Park, home to the largest remaining population of elephants in the world. Shaded by mature trees, Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is a retreat in the heart of the bush. This luxurious lodge has just fifteen guest cottages, each with two showers - one inside and one outside, as well as a freestanding bathtub. Every cottage has a private garden, complete with hammock, the ideal spot to sip cocktails after a busy day of game viewing and spa treatments, or enjoy a private dinner served under the African sky.

The day is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities.

Inspired by the abundance of nature that surrounds the lodge, the spa has drawn from that beauty to develop a range of treatments and rituals of the highest quality to relax, restore and revitalise guests. Authentic African design has been integrated with the natural elements surrounding Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero. Great care has been taken to select only products, treatment methods and practices that are environmentally friendly. The luxurious facilities include an indoor spa bath, Vichy showers, hydrotherapy, plunge pool, relaxation area and private treatment rooms, one of which is elevated in the treetops with incredible views offering relaxing couple treatments.

Treatments are provided by trained spa professionals using environmentally-friendly products from the Africology range. (Additional Cost)

The day is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer, including game drives in the Chobe National Park, home to the largest concentration of elephants in the world.

Day 07

Enjoy a morning game viewing activity followed by breakfast.  You will transfer via road transfer and a ferry crossing to Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma. The transfer time will be advised to you locally by the lodge management. Kindly note, that all road transfers are subject to multiple pick up and drop offs en-route to your destination which would affect the travelling time.

As you will be entering Zambia, a single entry visa will be required and is obtainable at the point of entry, payable in USD$50 in cash. The visa fee is subject to change at the discretion of the Zambian Government.

On arrival at Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma a lodge representative will discuss the activities on offer during your stay. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer.

Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma is just a short drive away from the world-famous Victoria Falls. The lodge itself is an exclusive haven in the heart of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park which, in addition to the mighty roar of the Victoria Falls, also boasts a wide variety of game as well as countless opportunities for adventure.

Built on two levels on a dramatic bend in the Zambezi, the main lodge is perched in giant ebony trees. Guests can relax in the swimming pool, or enjoy a drink in the elevated bar. The twelve air-conditioned tree houses are connected by wooden walkways and all enjoy superb views over the river. In addition, there are two private houses available. Each has two bedrooms, a dining area and deck with plunge pools, as well as a private chef and house staff.

Honeymooners will enjoy romantic private dinners on the sundowner deck or by the pool with inspiring views over the Zambezi River.

The morning is at leisure to enjoy the activities on offer and afterwards please meet the lodge representative in the reception area of the lodge for your transfer to Livingstone Airport. Your transfer times will be advised to you by the Lodge managers.
