Sam was born in Chipata. Sam previously worked at Mfuwe Lodge, Flatdogs, Wilderness Safaris and Norman Carr Safaris.
He is also a qualified walking guide.
Lezinah looks after the housekeeping department. She has 35 years' experience and is a mother of a beautiful young lady called Thandi and is married to Andrew Banda.
Back of House Manager
The is Mr. Fixit for Sussi and Chuma! Mulimba as he is known, is a qualified mechanic who has grown into a lodge manager over the years.
Mulimba is married with two kids— Chuma and Geoffrey.

Camilla was born and raised in Zimbabwe, before moving to Scotland to finish her schooling. She studied Zoology at Durham University, and has a deep embedded love of wildlife, wilderness areas and local cultures. Logistics, Administration and Waitering
Hilary is a man of many trades. He started working at Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma over five years ago as a trainee. Today he is a waiter and he’s also involved in the logistics and administration at Sanctuary Sussi and Chuma. When a guest is happy with his service, Hilary says "he feels happy, humbled and honoured". His dream is to become a manager one day.
Front Office Manager
Thamiwe has a number of duties and responsibilities at Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma from checking in guests to liaising with the reservations office, managing the curio shop to room allocations. She has been with Sanctuary since 2007 where she started as a receptionist. Through hard work and dedication she is now able to run the lodge, supervise and coordinate every department on her own.
Thamiwe is the “engine room and heartbeat” of the Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma operation. She is a 5th born of a Malawian man and a Zambian lady. Thamiwe recently got married.
