Henri has been working for Sanctuary Retreats since 2011, starting his career first in the Reservations department in Johannesburg. He then spent almost three years as the FOH Manager at Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero before moving to Sanctuary Stanley's Camp. Recently markings he's 5th Anniversary with Sanctuary Retreats, he is still much in love with each day he's able to make guest experiences memorable.
Assistant Lodge Manager
Aaron was born in Parakaningu where he completed his schooling; he was hired by Chobe Game Lodge in 1996 and worked there until 2002. He joined Sanctuary in 2003 as a waiter. He rose to the service champion where he completed various courses for the position. He was promoted to Trainee Manager where his main focus is Food and Beverage.
Martin Kushatha Mathumo
Martin was born in Francistown, Botswana and was the last born in a family of 7 from Siviya village in North East Botswana. He attended secondary and college education in Zimbabwe where he received a Diploma in Public Relations. After a varied career which included roles such as an Assistant Welder and a Community Relations and Liaison Officer, Martin discovered a passion for safaris. He has worked as a Nature Guide, Lodge Manager & General Manager at various different lodges and camps across Botswana before becoming General Manager at Sanctuary Stanley's Camp. He is a professional Nature Guide, and is a Botswana Qualifications Authority accredited trainer of Nature Guides and Lodge Managers.
Gao has always had a passion for food. Nothing makes her happier than whipping up a coconut cake. She has gained her knowledge from several other lodges she worked at, but she believes it's Sanctuary that gave her the opportunity to be who she has always wanted to be. Gao has four daughters and her biggest dream is to pass on her knowledge to all of them.
Francois De Wet
Francois, the South African ecologist & wildlife practitioner has an extraordinary conservation background and gained his hospitality experience at &beyond/Phinda Game Reserve, Sabi Sands and others. He is passionate about the magnificence of the African bush and enjoys any outdoor related activity as well as holding licensees as a bird ringer, falconer and FGASA Advanced Trails Guide.
