Day 1

On arrival at Maun Airport, a Sanctuary representative will meet and assist you to your onward flight on a Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Baines Airstrip. On arrival at the airstrip a representative will meet and transfer you to the camp. Sanctuary Baines' Camp is located on the Boro River and features only 5 suites set amongst the shady trees and water Delta. Guests returning from their night drive will be surprised with a romantic, star bath waiting on their viewing deck. Honeymooners will be able to soak up the scenery of the shimmering waters of the Boro river while sipping sparkling wine under the stars. The four-poster beds are fully mobile, giving guests the choice to slumber under star laden skies. Avid astronomers will delight in stargazing from the privacy of their own deck.

Day 2

The day is at leisure. This morning you might want to meet and interact with three semi-habituated elephants - Jabu, Thembi and Morula. Observe them up close in their natural environment as they feed, take mud baths and swim, whilst learning about them and discovering their unique personalities. This activity includes a picnic lunch in the company of the three elephants. (additional cost) Other activities available include serene mokoro excursions, slowly gliding through the waterways of the delta (subject to water levels), exclusive bush dinners, sundowner stops in specially selected spots, and game drives in customised, open 4 x 4 vehicles - including the rare opportunity of night drives. As Sanctuary Baines' Camp is in a private concession, guests also have the exclusive option of walking safaris with an armed professional guide. End your day with a romantic private dinner for two...

Day 3

Enjoy a morning game viewing activity followed by breakfast. A camp representative will transfer you to the airstrip for your Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Sanctuary Chief's Camp. On arrival at the airstrip a representative will meet and transfer you to Sanctuary Chief's Camp. The guest pavilions are hidden away in a jackalberry and sausage tree woodland that is characteristic of the area. All have their own private decks and indoor and outdoor showers. Generously draped mosquito nets and traditional ceiling fans also feature. The communal decked lounge and dining areas have stunning views over the floodplains so that guests can continue their game viewing while enjoying fine cuisine and wines. The afternoon is at leisure. Activities available include game drives and seasonal mokoro excursions (subject to water levels).

Day 4

The game viewing opportunities around Sanctuary Chief's Camp are awe-inspiring. Elephant, wild dog, cheetah and leopard can all be spotted close to camp and the area also boasts over 500 species of bird. Our expert guides are always on hand to share a wealth of wildlife knowledge, take guests deep into the bush in specially modified open 4 x 4 vehicles on morning and afternoon game drives to find the secluded places where elephant families congregate in search of the tastiest fruits and berries. On the plains one may find the roaming lions that prey on the thousands of antelope, zebra and buffalo who live here all year round.

Day 5

The day begins with a morning game viewing activity followed by breakfast.  A camp representative will transfer you to the airstrip. Depart Chief's Camp on a Mack Air shared light aircraft charter flight to Kasane. The flying time to Kasane is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes. On arrival at Kasane Airport a lodge representative will meet and transfer you to the lodge. Sanctuary Chobe Chilwero is a luxurious riverside retreat in the heart of the bush, with all of the facilities of a larger resort. Relax while enjoying the gourmet food that the lodge has become known for, lounging in the split-level swimming pool or unwinding with a pampering session in the full service spa. Couple treatments are provided by trained professionals and include products from both the Africology and Thalgo lines. Spa facilities include an indoor spa bath, Vichy showers, hydrotherapy, plunge pool, relaxation area and private treatment rooms - one of which is elevated in the treetops. The afternoon is at leisure to enjoy the game viewing activities on offer.

Day 6

Today is at leisure to explore the area. Thrilling guided game drives in open-sided 4X4 vehicles bring you to the heart of Africa's largest concentration of elephants, as well as hippos, buffalos, antelope, lions and other creatures that gather on the banks of the Chobe River. The best way to end a day of safari is sipping on a cocktail while watching an African sunset over the still waters of the Chobe River, toasting to the end of yet another beautiful day, while looking forward to what the new day will bring… Specially designed riverboats take guests up close to elephants as they wade in the river or near to the buffalo who gather on its shores. Sundowner cruises are also a great way of seeing animals up close as they come out of the shade to graze in the cooler evenings.

Day 7

Enjoy a morning game viewing activity followed by breakfast.  You will transfer via a ferry crossing to Livingstone Airport.  The transfer time will be advised to you locally by the lodge management. The transfer time with be approximately 1 hr 30 minutes. Please note depending on the passport you carry a visa maybe required to enter Zambia. Depart Livingstone on a scheduled flight to your next destination.
