Successful Photo Safaris in the Galapagos

Galapagos Photo Safari

July 2011

Sanctuary Retreats launched our first ever photo safari on board the M.V. Eclipse in the Galapagos Islands in May 2011. This special safari is led by award-winning photographer Jonathan R. Green and places for the second expedition in August have already been snapped up. Jonathan's work has been exhibited at the Natural History Museum, Olympia Exhibition Centre in London and has been published in The Royal Geographical Magazine, Time Magazine, BBC Wildlife Magazine and many others.

Jonathan now spends his time offering personal workshops and they take place in a very hands-on environment during excursions in the Galapagos Islands. The photo safari is a great way for guests to learn amazing practical tips on wildlife photography, including use of equipment, exposure & lighting, focus techniques, angles & composition, subject behaviour and lots more. There are also interactive on board presentations and the course has been geared for all levels of photographer.

Guests from the photo safari in May have sent us some of their comments. Here is a selection:
Mr. & Mrs. BERENBLUM, Australia
"Jonathan’s photo gallery and photographic teachings were excellent. It added much value to our tour experience."
Mr. & Mrs. SEYMANN, USA
"The photographic element was a truly exquisite addition to a lovely ship."
Mr. JASON REVLAND, USA
"Having Jonathan Green on board was an exceptional experience and added greatly to our Galapagos adventure."
