GALAPAGOS ISLANDS WIN TRAVEL + LEISURE'S "BEST ISLAND IN THE WORLD" AWARD

The readers of Travel + Leisure have spoken - and this year's winner of the "Best Island in the World" is the Galapagos. Perhaps the award should actually be called "Best Islands and Islets in the World"! SPECIAL GALAPAGOS PHOTO SAFARI - November 20-27

This November the Eclipse will be hosting an exclusive photo safari in the Galapagos Islands with award-winning photographer Jonathan R. Green. The hands-on workshop is suitable for all levels of expertise, including beginners. The uniqueness of the destination, the expertise of our guest photographer and the chance to experience the best vessel in these waters combine to ensure a photo safari experience like no other in the world. There is just one departure, November 20-27.

SUMMER CAMP 2010 ONBOARD THE SANCTUARY YANGZI EXPLORER

The Sanctuary Yangzi Explorer will be hosting two family cruises this summer with a special itinerary for children of all ages. There are two departure dates available: July 8th and August 12th. Both cruises are  four night upstream cruises. In addition to family-friendly sightseeing in the Three Gorges regions, there will be plenty of other activities including Mandarin lessons, Chinese painting, movie screenings and cooking classes.

the eclipse wins galapagos environmental award

We have received an award from the government of Santa Cruz Island in conjunction with the World Wildlife Fund and the Galapagos Foundation. The award is for “Excellence in Citizenship” and was awarded to the M.V. Eclipse for outstanding recycling procedures. Out of the more than 80 yachts cruising the Galapagos, the Eclipse was one of only three vessels to win this award.  The ship also recently successfully completed the Smart Voyager audit and achieved an even higher certification than in previous years.

The M.V. Eclipse, our expedition boat in the Galapagos, is the only Galapagos ship included in Harper’s Bazaar prestigious list.  In addition the Eclipse is the top of only three Galapagos cruises listed in the 2010 Conde Nast “Top Small Cruise Ships” Reader’s Poll.
