Day 1

Depart YICHANG

This evening you will board the Sanctuary Yangzi Explorer for your cruise to Chongqing. The ship will set sail on its upstream course the following morning through the Three Gorges region. The total length of this cruise is 660 kilometres (402 miles).

Guests can enjoy a special feature Yangzi River documentary at the Tang Theatre.

Day 2

XILING GORGES & THREE GORGES DAM PROJECT

Start your morning with traditional Chinese exercise before an international buffet breakfast. View the Xiling Gorge before arriving at the Three Gorges Dam Project site and embarking on a tour of the area. An international lunch buffet will be served on board followed by either lectures & discussions or you can enjoy the special Aromasoul Dream Spa treatments (Please book in advance for slot availability). An arts & crafts demonstration and an introduction to Mahjong lesson are available before a complimentary afternoon tea. Enjoy a Chinese medicine demonstration before the Captain's welcome reception followed by an a la carte welcome dinner. Evening entertainment will consist of a crew show performance.

Day 3

SHENNONG STREAM, QUTANG GORGE & WU GORGE


Start your morning with a Taichi lesson before either an international buffet breakfast or a "Breakfast in Suite". Disembark from the ship at Badong and transfar to a local longboat (sampan) poled by Tujia boatmen before an international lunch buffet. After lunch view the Wu Gorge before lectures & discussions in Tang Theatre. Enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea before viewing Qutang Gorge. A tea appreciation session and an arts & crafts demonstration are available before a private gourmet dinner in your suite and a feature movie.

Day 4

FENGDU

Start your morning with a Taichi lesson before either an international buffet breakfast or a "Breakfast in Suite". After breakfast enjoy a shore excursion to Fengdu where you can venture into the ghost temple or visit the community and see the local kindergarten or take part in a senior exercise regime in the park. After an interntational lunch buffet attend an arts & crafts demonstration or enjoy the special Aromasoul Dream Spa treatments (Please book in advance for slot availability). Attend a Mahjong lesson before a complimentary "Bird Cage" theme afternoon tea.  After a dumpling making class enjoy "A Taste of China" farewell dinner before a farewell crew show.
