BOTSWANA

Visit our camps in the Okavango in April to experience the delta from a different perspective as it comes into flood. Over 80% of this landlocked country is made up of the Kalahari Desert, the vast sponge into which the swollen Okavango River disappears each year, creating the largest inland delta in the world which is home to an estimated 9,000 species of flora and fauna - as such the delta is widely regarded as one of the premium destinations for game viewing. Our camps in the delta are Sanctuary Stanley's Camp, Sanctuary Baines' Camp and Sanctuary Chief's Camp.

ZAMBIA

Visit Sanctuary Sussi & Chuma in Zambia between April and May and experience the Victoria Falls flowing at its strongest and fullest. The river's annual flood season is February to May with a peak in April. The spray from the falls typically rises to a height of over 400 metres, sometimes even twice as high, and is visible from up to 50 kilometres away - hence the local name for the falls and the surrounding national park - Mosi-Oa-Tunya, "the Smoke that Thunders".

KENYA

Visit Sanctuary Olonana in Kenya between September and April to experience the migratory birds. The Masai Mara National Reserve lies in south western Kenya and is effectively the northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Game viewing is excellent all year round in the Mara. It is famed for its Big Cats, as well as the remainder of the Big Five. April is the low, wet season in Kenya so it is the most economical time to visit.

TANZANIA

Our two seasonal camps in the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park  are open throughout the green season. Sanctuary Serengeti Migration Camp will move between three different locations, literally following the migration as it travels across the Serengeti, offering guests year round access to this incredible spectacle. Depending on exact migration movement, the camp will normally be in the western Serengeti from April to July.  Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp is located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, in Tanzania's Ngorongoro Conservation area with spectacular views of the crater and surrounds.

CHINA

Easter is spring in China with mild conditions that are excellent for cruising the Yangzi. The mighty Yangzi River is known as the symbolic lifeline of China. At 3,900 miles, the world's third longest river, the Yangtze River flows from the Roof of the World to the East, cutting through China, dividing the country into north and south. The river with its numerous tributaries and feeders provides a great transportation network through the heart of some of the most densely populated areas in China.
