In Tanzania, Sanctuary Escarpment Luxury Lodge will open 1st June 2014. This retreat situated high on the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley overlooks Lake Manyara National Park in Northern Tanzania, a serene location offering spectacular views over the lake and of the Ngorongoro Crater ridge.

The camp will offer 12 luxury safari tents with en-suite bathroom with indoor bucket shower as well as hairdryers and plug points.  There are also three main tent areas with a dining tent, bar and lounge tent all offering great views of the surrounding area.  Activities on offer will include morning, afternoon or full game drives in the crater and on the rim and a cultural tour of the traditional Masai dwellings.

Combined with these new additions, Sanctuary Serengeti Migration Camp will complete our Tanzanian circuit around the richest game viewing region in East Africa. The camp will move between three different locations throughout the year, literally following the mgiration as it travels across the Serengeti plains, offering year round access to one of the greatest spectacles on earth. The camp offers 8 spacious tents, all with en-suite bathrooms, plus lounge, bar and dining tents. Morning and afternoon game drives in and around the migration and bush picnics can all be experienced from this camp.

In Kenya, a new seasonal camp in a private concession on the banks of the Mara River will offer a front row spot for the wildebeest migration. Sanctuary Masai Mara Seasonal Camp will open from July through to October, in line with the annual migration. Activities on offer include morning and afternoon game drives, nature walks, sundowners, bush dinners and for those looking for a particularly memorable treat, there are also hot air balloon safaris at an additional cost.  For families, child minders can be organised for guests here by prior notification in addition to the superb children's club which offers a variety of cultural and bush activities with the local Masai guides and the resident naturalist.  Those looking for a slightly more indulgent experience will also be able to enjoy a mobile 'mini-spa' offering the trademark Sanctuary treatments.
